When Sandstone Care first launched its alumni program, it lacked structure and direction. Under the leadership of Kelly Butzer, and with ongoing support from Treatment Professionals in Alumni Services (TPAS), the program evolved into a robust, multi-site initiative.
Key Developments:
Initially, the program consisted of only a list of past clients. Kelly started with support groups and check-ins but realized a need for strategy and metrics. TPAS collaboratives and mentorship empowered Kelly to develop structured engagement, track KPIs, and expand the program nationally while maintaining personal connections.
With support from TPAS, Kelly expanded her team from 1 to 4 alumni coordinators and advanced to Alumni Manager.
